Oilers on a roll, sink the Eagles

The rescheduled game with Canmore from a few weeks ago was played last night, and while the Oilers showed up to play, the Canmore Eagles didn't. Sure, they were there in body, they went through the motions, but were no match for the overpowering Okotoks team as they went down to defeat 9-0.
Braely Torris gets the shutout, while the Sheen,Madsen,Civitrese line proves it is one of the best in the league. The entire team is playing so good now, that you have to think they have a chance to make a run for the championship this season.
Shots on goal were tied at 31 apiece, and the game wasn't as loopsided as the score would indicate. We had the goaltending and the Eagles didn't, along with poor defensive play from Canmore and uninspired play. Maybe it was all the regulars out of their lineup due to a number of reasons, but the Oilers were full value for the big win.
And with the Kodiaks losing their second straight game last night, the gap between them is closing. Could we catch them?.......mmmm time will tell..
